Brand Statement Examples

Brand statement examples are everywhere, all over the internet and especially in branding books and seminars. A brand statement is nothing more than a short two or three-sentence description of who you are, what you stand for and what your personal brand is. It is basically your unique selling point, the key thing you do differently from any of your competition. Think of it as your logo. Branding is a combination of art and science, marketing and business, all rolled into one big “brand”.

However, not all brand statements are the same. Some have been around for decades, some less than ten years, but they all have one thing in common: they are not unique. For example, Apple Computers has been selling computers for nearly 30 years and they don’t even sell the same types of computers every time someone buys one. They are all unique because they fit into the same category. The real question then is how can you create your own personal brand statement, one that is distinct from the others?

One of the most important parts of personal brands is your job title. If your job title is the same as the company you work for, people automatically assume it is your personal brand statements. Just think about it for a moment. Wouldn’t you rather people think of your job title as “Bob’s Bar-B-Q” instead of just Bob’s Bar-B-Q?

As mentioned earlier, social media platforms are a great place to showcase your personal brand statements. For example, if you are a bartender, you can put your pictures on social media platforms, like Facebook, YouTube, etc., while also making a few brief references to your profession at the end. This is also a good place to mention your business name. Many people would not normally associate a bar with a food service industry, but if you include all of the appropriate information you will be sure to create interest and traffic toward your social media pages and websites.

Branding statements take a little more creativity than simple pictures or text. For example, there are not many brand names that do not have at least one celebrity who is a part of their endorsement. This means that you will want to take some time to research celebrity images for your personal brand statements. For example, you could take a picture of yourself with your favorite actor or actresses. You could then include a short bio and a link to the website where they endorse the product.

Now, there are some things you should keep in mind when writing your own statements or creating your own branding portfolio. First, you should make sure you clearly communicate your goals with your branding. Many people create great personal brand statements and never explain what those goals are. A goal is much more important that any other details, such as a slogan or a logo. Without having a clear understanding of your target audience and why you are creating your branding, you will not know whether or not people will be attracted to it.

Second, you need to think about how your personal brand statement will move well within your industry. If you sell only food products to vegetarians, does it make sense to include a personal brand statement about being a vegetarian? Some people might not even want to purchase your products, so be careful not to push your ideas too far. Think about the type of people you will be selling to, as well. You don’t want to waste your time convincing people to eat well if you aren’t going to target people who already want to eat well.

Lastly, think about your personality and your business. What type of statement will show you are approachable, friendly, and have an honest personality that others can relate with? For example, if you run a daycare center, you could emphasize your focus on the social media aspect of it by putting a photo of you with your children on your website. However, don’t place any other photos on the site, as that could prove distracting. Think about how your personal brand statement will fit into your business and personality, and how you can make that statement look more genuine than other people do.
